Adult Diagnostic Audiology Assessments
Not all problems of the ears are a simple case of getting older, or having been exposed to noise and not always is the recommendation that you need hearing aids.
If you experience any of the following, a diagnostic audiological assessment is worthwhile. Your GP will probably recommend this in any case.
- Tinnitus
- Vertigo
- Fullness in the ears
- Sudden hearing loss
- Facial Palsy
There are medical conditions that warrant investigation and an audiological assessment.
Comprehensive Tinnitus Consultations
In addition Michelle Soares Mendes provides comprehensive tinnitus consultations . Michelle was trained by Pawel Jastreboff, the leader in Tinnitus retraining therapy.
Michelle will undertake consultations will include investigation for medical indicators that may warrant further investigation.
Michelle will also discuss the neurophysiological basis of tinnitus, she explains the process of habituation and brain retraining and discusses techniques such as sound therapy and relaxation techniques which assist in the desensitisation process.
Workcover, Diving, Aviation and Commercial Driver Assessments
Michelle is registered to conduct audiological assessments and reports for relevant agencies and industries.
