Meet Michelle Soares Mendes

All assessments are undertaken by Michelle Soares Mendes, paediatric Audiologist of 30 years, specialising in children with developmental delay and disability.

Michelle treats every little person and older teenager as a unique character. She engages and interacts with them in a fun and respectful way to obtain accurate information about their hearing and ear health.

Michelle then provides the carers with clear and helpful information about their child’s situation, gives comprehensive recommendations, will connect with other professionals and refer to them if needed, as well as providing a detailed report.

My son was experiencing a few different health issues and when we ultimately saw Michelle at Dunsborough and Margaret River Hearing, he was diagnosed with a conductive hearing loss and glue ear. Fortunately surgery was able to rectify the problem. Michelle interacted beautifully with my son, explained things to me very clearly and resolved our issues.

I have worked with Michelle for many years. As a speech pathologist specialising in neurodevelopmental assessment I refer to Michelle and highly recommended her for all paediatric Audiological services. I have been experiencing increasingly problematic tinnitus over the last few years. I had previously been fitted with hearing aids for my hearing loss related to my carpentry background. I saw Michelle for a tinnitus consultation and she has able to provide guidance on how to utilise strategies to help reduce the tinnitus. Michelle explained things in very clear terms. I feel like I now have good control over my situation.
